Dave is a serial entrepreneur that has founded and launched three successful companies focused on exploring the semantic web. He has been at the forefront of semantic search for the past 13 years following a pioneering effort in 1995 that resulted in the first real-time news service delivered via the web.

As Chairman and CEO of PureDiscovery Corporation, based in Dallas, he leads a company conceptualizing and building technology that harnesses the collective intelligence of the web. A recently announced partnership with LexisNexis has PureDiscovery’s Semantic Search Architecture powering the largest patent database in the world containing over 60 million patents in dozens of languages. This patent product utilizes a PureDiscovery BrainSpace built from over 200,000,000 documents. Prior to founding PureDiscovery Dave co-founded Engenium Corporation (purchased by Marsh McLennan in November 2006), where he led the adoption of the Engenium conceptual search platform by the Pentagon, CIA, FBI and the US Department of Defense’s Defense Messaging System. Dave’s intelligent search systems are currently enabling many Electronic Discovery systems and hundreds of hiring systems around the world.
