And Hickl is a Dallas-based entrepreneur specializing in semantic
search technologies. He serves as CEO of Language Computer Corporation
(LCC), a leading natural language processing company. Prior to
becoming CEO, he led R&D in semantic search and text understanding at
LCC, where he created state-of-the-art software systems for text
mining, web search, question answering, and information extraction.
Hickl is also co-founder and chief technical advisor for two
Texas-based semantic technology start-ups: Swingly, a
question-answering company capable of finding answers in the Web of
unstructured text, and Extractiv, a Web-scale semantic listening
platform.
